Wendy Harwood博士，约翰因斯中心作物遗传学系高级科学家，研究方向包括高通量的植物转化和基因工程技术，重点是作物的转化特别是在小麦和大麦的转化，以及作物基因组编辑和基因修饰研究。致力于利用RNA-guided Cas9系统对多种作物进行基因编辑。该课题组大麦转化和基因组编辑研究水平处于世界前列，在《Genome Biology》，《Plant Biotechnology Journal》，《Plant Physiology》等发表论文100余篇。为我校作物学学科创新引智基地（111计划）外籍专家。
